Lazaro Francisco was born on February 22, 1898, and died on June 17, 1980, he was a famous novelist, and playwright and became National Artist of the Philippines for Literature in 2009. His notable work are Ama, Bayang nagpatiwakal, Maganda Pa ang Daigdig and Daluyong.
