Bulacan State University, or mainly known as BulSU, was first originated in 1904 as a secondary school ran by Americans, and was upgraded from a college into a university by the year 1993 by virtue of Republic Act 7665. It is a state university that provides higher learning in Central Luzon region that also requires an entrance exam called BSUAT.
